What a beautiful experience. We had a journey through a French vineyard and we were welcomed by his owner Daniel. What a great experience

Rarely is it such a pleasure to shop - the knowledgeable staff can elicit info to get the right wine for you, or direct you to try something that you will enjoy. They have a great range and have helped me track down and try a range of sherries. They even had the best sherry vinegar on the planet (Lustau) which kept us happy for ages. Not pretentious, just focussed on doing the right thing to please the discerning wine drinker.

Theatre of wine may look like a typical wine store but there's a slightly different take on the idea here. You're unlikely to find a wine that you could buy easily elsewhere in London here and every wine has an interesting story. Much of the time that story is about value and how this wine is essentially the same as some very expensive cousin but it made just over the region boundary, or they have some special relationship with the producer. There are also quite a few bottles here that you cannot buy anywhere else.Ask about the wine and try what they have out, you may we'll find a treasure that keeps you coming back for more, I did.

The Greenwich store is fantastic. Good selection of interesting wines and the guys are always happy to help. I've noticed there's a reference to the place being pretentious below and I strongly disagree. If you want to go into detail or ask for general tips the guys are happy to do so, but in my experience they've also been great for providing quick recommendations as well (e.g. what do you recommend for 10/15/20, or I'm cooking (dish) what would you recommend?).It's definitely been the best wine shop I've been to and I'm very happy it's here!

I note that many of the other reviews of this pretentious little wine shop include the same words ("knowledgeable" etc.) leading one to question their objective authorship. There are some interesting wines here, but you will usually have to pay more than 12 for them. Bottles are not organized according to region. Every bottle carries a handwritten tag of gung-ho commentary, so you could easily pass several hours researching the stock. If you just want to find a nice bottle of reasonably priced wine, and don't fancy a guided tour, you may find this place as annoying as I do.
