Had to take my dog in for a day visit 8am untill 4pm. Few weeks later he was twitching we put it down to his legs and nerve damage. few months passed our other dog who is treated with a flea tablet started scratching a lot. Checked him found few fleas. Checked my dog and the poor sod was so full. My dog has never had fleas in his life the only thing that changed was his stop over in the vets. I cannot prove this is where he got them but i know that this is where he got them. Unsure if i will return unless vet can come out to me in the car. Still debating and still defleaing. Very poor cleanliness.
Came here with my budgie, the vet really knew her stuff. She quickly identified what was wrong with my budgie, and what we could do about it. Little bit pricey, but for any bird I am sure you will get what you are looking for. You can't put a price on their health
My first visit here with the greyhound. And we met another grey next in the line! Impressed with the vets knowledge and advice. Back after payday to get his teeth sorted out. The Hound was quite happy here, so says it all really
The receptionist is the best thing about the practice. When we walked in we had a lovely greeting and were put at ease; i am not sure on her name but she was fantastic. If the rest of the team were like this it would be amazing. The negatives: The entire place was boiling...I am always cold and it was so warm it was uncomfortable. the waiting room and the vet's room were so ridiculously hot, even our pets were uncomfortable. The vet did not listen to us or what we were asking about. He went on to list the cons of everything even saying he would list the pros and cons about our choices. Also at the end of the consultation tried to add a sneaky extra so we would pay for something that wasn't needed! The vet just didn't seem to gel with our pets or us. We walked out and not going back.
Barrier clinic has a really happy friendly atmosphere. Its clean, welcoming and the staff are excellent. I have been coming here since not long after it opened with my old golden retriever , now with my elderly cat and my young Springer. Most importantly I trust them.
