Super nice place for locals,everyone is very friendly and its nice to see so many locals all hanging out
Review update:The classes here and some instructors are awesome namely Helen!! But the hygiene condition at the pool changing area needs a drastic improvement. I go to the splashing pool with my little one sometimes and the changing area stink of wee and is making me not want to take him there anymore. Adult Swimming is overpriced, 4.50 each time compare to around 3.60 in nearby centres. On top of that, the lockers there are non-refundable. Both Lewisham Glass Mill and Deptford Wavelength have refundable lockers which are much more reasonable. Better not forget your goggles in the locker because that will cost you another 20p to get your own goggles out of your own locker...If you don't want to spend another 20p after you finish swimming, you will have to take your bag and shoes with you into the shower and try your best not to splash onto your stuff. When taking a shower, best leave one hand on the switch because the shower head timer is about 10s. Overall, there is no justification for overpricing. I would strongly suggest the centre to consider replacing the lockers.
Very convenient class timetables for me. I go early and the creche facilities is amazing too. We visit the library straight after which is all in the same building!
Public swimming: Been here a couple of times in the evening. The pool is pleasant and quiet. Opening hours are better than most. The lockers need 20p which is non refundable. The showers are poor, needing you to press the button every 5 seconds to keep water flowing. You have to pay for the hair driers which is a great shame
Great gym, lots of equipment, machines and weights. Always staff around for advice. Clean! Non intimidating, I am seeing people of all levels of fitnesses.Swimming pool is nice and the deep water aerobics is fantastic!Changing facilities are good too.
