The worst school I've ever been too!!!!! I'm autistic and I was at this school in year 5, and oh my gosh it was the worst. 1) my teacher would shout at me when I said to him I'm having panic attacks or when I got uncoordinated in PE, he left, but he was called Ben and he has no understanding of autism. 2) the head teacher, Jo, was nice when I first started, but developed an attitude towards me later in the year. Whenever I need an intervention she would get all annoyed at me like it was a hassle to provide support. 3) I was on SA+ which is one down from a statement as I wasn't diagnosed yet but it was clear I had needs. I got no support hardly, I needed a TA 1:1 or to go to the lime room (formerly the pink room) as I was always panicking and couldn't learn Well, but I didn't, I was stuck in the flipping mainstream class all day having really bad anxiety. I would have a worry talk with the general TA at the end of the day, but they stopped it and then restarted for a bit, but that's all I got along with seeing the learning mentor once a week. Sometimes I went to the lesson early, but these didn't help me. I have a statement now, and I'm 15 and it says I need 15 - 24 hours of TA support , so if I need that many hours now, then I would have for sure needed it as a kid!!!!!!! As primary schools can fund a TA sometimes with out a Statement. So basically the SEND provision for me was a farce. Other than that, the kids would bully me and once they all came round the Table in class and circled me with great anger because of this stupid girl causing a drama for me because i sat on her stupid chair and the whole class surrounded me and this girl lifted up the table a bit and pushed it down again. I was 10 and had undiagnosed autism and depression and anxiety etc and they treated me like this. Check with schools first before you send your kids there to see what provisions they can provide for SEND.

A good local school. Johnny Depp visited whilst filming PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
