This is such a nice little park. I have just moved to the area with my young Labrador and was afraid I would have to walk all the way to Greenwich park to find a good place with some green and enough space for him to run around and spend his energy. Fortunately I was wrong! East Greenwich Pleasaunce is much bigger than what I thought just by looking at the map and it is really a lovely place. As an added bonus it is surrounded by walls on all sides, so, if you also have a dog, there is no risk of him scaping to any busy road when you are not looking.
Lovely calm place for a walk or a sit in the welcoming little cafe that is open all year round ..old naval buried ground that has many a very old tombstone hidden between the trees and shrubbery ...There is a beautiful memorial to old naval folk from the naval hospital in the rose garden ...There is a children's playing area but is tucked away from the main pleasant
This quiet retreat has been a godsend when I have needed to exercise the dogs on my journeys between London and Kent. There are many old trees, plenty of fascination and a cafe to boot- all tucked away off the main road from the A2 to Greenwich. It would get five stars if parking was easier.
Really, a hidden gem in Greenwich. Great park for football, cricket with the kids. Has an outdoor ping pong table, and great paths to walk around. The cafe in the park is fantastic and the staff / owner are always exceptional. It can get crazy busy on the weekends, so plan ahead.
Smallish park with a cafe; perfect for families with young children, dog owners (there's also a small dog-free zone) and local historians. Worth a visit.
