Great value room, was warm and clean, great proximity to the O2, would stay here again when in London
Brilliant for the price. Every hotel in the same area is at least twice as expensive and this hotel was the perfect place if all you're looking for is somewhere to tidy up your appearance and relax before a good night's sleep.
Arrived at 'the Armitage'. Well, we arrived at three houses. No signs saying we were in the right place. After looking confused for 5 minutes a neighbour asked if we were okay and said we were in the right place and to knock on the doors. So we knocked. No answer on any of the three doors. Phoned Expedia (who we booked through since there wasn't a contact number for the owner). They tried to call the owner twice on separate numbers with no success. Currently staying in Holiday Inn Express which is 10 minutes walk away and pure luxury! If only I could give 0 stars.
Clean and tidy room with shared bathroom. Good value for money for a overnight stay.Evening we stopped was really hot so had provided Fan on but had to have the windows open and noisy neighbours chatting out in the street at 1-2am.Would use again though.
I stayed in the downstairs room which has a nice kitchen and modern finishes. The Armitage manager is also nice. However, if you are looking for a good nights sleep I do not recommend The Armitage. The floors are paper thin and the floor boards creek very loudly and so I was kept up all night by the guests upstairs walking around their rooms. The curtains are also near transparent so during summer an eye mask is key if you dont want to wake up at 5:30 am.
